As your elected treasurer of BOPSS, I continue to build on the successes of my predecessors, promoting financial accountability, clarity, and fairness.
A key concern for the Treasurer is that BOPSS Members maintain their subscriptions, and for this reason I am encouraging all Members to establish their own standing orders through their respective banks, this saving considerable time for all.
Transparency in our projected investment of the Society's capital funds must remain open to debate from its Members. In particular, I am interested in the financial support we offer for training courses for both junior and senior colleagues alike, in addition to supporting on-line case-based discussions or modules for trainees.
Finally, we are working towards on-line subscription for BOPSS Members to ORBIT and OPRS journals. This will bring tangible benefits to all, and I hope will encourage subscription payment by remiss Members, as well as encouraging new members to join.
I believe that the BOPSS subscription should continue to offer the excellent value that it does, with the treasurer striving to use your funds to the greatest possible effect.
